Our team recently managed the complex multi-modal 110 tonne export of a specialized rail maintenance fleet from Auckland, terminating safely at the Port of Brisbane.
The heavy, out-of-gauge cargo lineup included:
A rail tamper
A Zephir rail car mover
A ballast regulator
The Precision Logistics Plan:
- Pre-Shipment Inspection Plan: Inspecting the assets to draft a rigorous, safety-first transport blueprint.
- Site Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict rail industry safety standards during the initial loading phase at the Otahuhu siding.
- Biosecurity Compliance: Executing strict cleaning protocols to meet Australia's uncompromising quarantine barriers before arrival.
- The Otahuhu Lift: Under strict rail corridor health and safety compliance, we executed a heavy crane lift to load the assets onto specialized transporters.
