FREIGHT TRADERS LTD WAS SELECTED BY FOREIGN SUPPLIER TO HANDLE THEIR LOCAL INTERESTS FOR DELIVERY OF ANOTHER 66 TONNE ROTOR TO A RURAL NZ POWER STATION. THIS IS ANOTHER OF A LONG LINE OF REPLACEMENT ROTORS WHICH FTL HANDLES.
AFTER CLEARANCE / QUARANTINE AND PORT FORMALITIES WERE COMPLETED - THE ROTOR WAS CAPTURED UNDER HOOK AND HELD IN STORE UNTIL ON SITE REQUIREMENT. IT WAS DELIVERED ON AN 8 AXLE SELF STEERING TRAILER FOR ROAD PERMIT PURPOSES, AND BROKEN DOWN AT SITE TO FOUR SELF STEERING AXLES, IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE TRAILER LENGTH, AND NAVIGATE THE TIGHT SITE ACCESS. THE ROTOR WAS LIFTED BY MOBILE JACKING SYSTEM AND SKATED TO POSITION DUE TO INSUFFICIENT LIFTING CAPACITY ON SITE.
