NZ One site logistic co-ordination

The plant was dismantled in stages and spread over a 1 hectare site. Due to tight restrictions on port space, the plant needed to be delivered in the sequence of vessel loading – requiring ongoing site supervision and planning for daily transport.

 NZ Local Transport

The plant was dismantled to more than 130 x truck loads from site to port, most of which required multiple pilots / permits and escorts.Trailers needed to be constantly re-configured to adapt to the changing dimensions of the cargo as it was dismantled. The plant took 12 working days to completely deliver to the port

NZ Port Handling

FTL arrange all port receivables / offloading / handing / marshalling / storage / Customs formalities / Cargo cleaning where required and equipment hire.

Shipping

The shipment was stowed under deck and took 4 x shifts to complete. Due to the nature of the cargo lashing points were required to weld onto some of the pces. The vessel sailed directly to Mexico – the transit time was 18 x days from port to port.

Mexican Ship Agency

Freight Traders Ltd agent - Representaciones Marítimas S.A. de C.V. (Mexico) acted as ships agent for the vessel attending the needs of the vessel and master, helping to facilitate all facets of vessel arrival incl berth, sludge & crew change.

Mexican Port Handling

The plant was discharged from the vessel in 2.5 days and unloaded without incident. Services included welding services, unlashing, stevedoring, receiving, marshalling, and load out. FTL also facilitated 30 x days free storage at the port to assist with the delivery schedule given the destination sites location.
